Craftiness on a snow day

Yesterday the kids had a snow day, so we got our craftiness on and made one of these.  I'm sure you've seen them around the web before.  I've wanted to do this for a long time and a snow day seemed like a good time to do it.


Hot glue some crayons to a white canvas.  (we painted white over this old canvas - and, yes, that is a paintbrush in the middle.)  It doesn't have to be perfect, unless you're one of those types that it does have to be perfect, in which case, take a deep breath.

and start blow drying

and blow dry some more

and some more

until you have something like this:

Isabel added some sparkle to the right side which is hard to see in the pictures but very pretty.  Fun project.  I recommend it.

Easter

Our Easter was full of eggs, bunnies, chocolate, and church.

Jesus rocks.

It's Spring!

Grace and Grandpa Siffring planted this bulb in Nebraska and

Grace brought it home with her.  She has been taking

good care of it and it shows.

It is so beautiful!

It's all ready for Spring.

And so are we.
